~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Happy 4th of July ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

Even if the weather wasn't what everyone had hoped for we still had a pretty decent long weekend.

Thursday we took the day and spent it at the Surf Club. That was fun but boy it's a lot of work. Quinton was so good - he loved his little tent and stayed cool and well shaded for the whole day. Devon disappeared about 10 minutes into the day only to come back for food and/or money ( the joy of being a teenager!) Reegan loved the sand except when it was time to get it off. She screamed when we tried to get her into the water! Thursday evening the town had the fireworks on the beach. That was great. Mom came down, Reegan made it for about 15 minutes of the show. Quinton actually woke up and watched the whole thing!

A quick picture of Devon before he ran off with his friends for the day...

Reegan in her cool shades enjoying a rest break from all the hard work she was doing in the sand.

Baby Q staying cool in the shade...

Friday the 4th we went to the Parade downtown. Reegan loved it - she got loads of candy that we did not need! Quinton was very happy with his flag he got from one of the parade volunteers. Of course, Devon was MIA again.... wandering around with his crew!

Saturday was the reunion for Bobby's side of the family. It was a great turnout and the weather finally cooperated. Good food, lots of volleyball, funny old stories and a bunch of family ~ always a good recipe for fun!

Sunday was the end of our long holiday weekend and we ended it by bringing Devon up to UCONN for Jim Calhoun's Basketball Camp. He will being staying in the dorms for 10 days. He is in heaven... no parents, no Reegan, and basketball 24/7 for the next 10 days. Gosh I hope he showers (haha!)
